We are pleased to announce that Gero Strobel and Prof. Dr. Stefan Eicker in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Dr. hc Dr. hc Becker and Ute Paukstadt of the European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS) of the University of Münster have successfully published a paper on "Smart Services and their influence on the value creation and business models of companies".

In this article, the authors discuss the impact of Smart Connected Products and Smart Services on companies and consumers. In particular, the value creation potentials of intelligent services and their effects on business models will be examined.
